Confidence
Confidence was an early Pentecostal periodical edited by A. A. Boddy, an Anglican rector who was baptized in the Spirit in 1907. His parish, All Saints' Church in Sunderland, England, hosted a number of Pentecostal conventions which attracted Pentecostal leaders from Europe and the U.S. Sermons and reports given at the conferences and revivals held there were recorded in the pages of Confidence.

Word and Work
One of the earliest Pentecostal periodicals is now available in this text-searchable CD. Samuel G. Otis (1842-1926), an evangelical leader in New England, started his Word and Work as a holiness periodical in 1879. The Flower Pentecostal Heritage Center has copies from 1899. Establishing Christian Workers Union as a parachurch organization, Otis seemed to always have his hands in printers ink. If he was not publishing his own periodicals, he was printing others, like one of Aimee Semple McPherson's first Bridal Calls in 1917. Following his Pentecostal experience, Otis turned Word and Work into a Pentecostal publication.
